Now for my entry

I don't really have a morning routine since I got laid off, it's been totally shot to hell. My son is grown and no longer living at home, and my roommate, disabled from a stroke, sleeps in, so I don't have to worry about anyone else.

When I am employed, I get up at 4. One of the first things I do is get get my cup cup of coffee and put my dog Garth out.

I use this quiet time to check email and enter sweepstakes. Then I get ready for work and straighten the house a bit. I'll usually check email once more and browse the web a little, and check out the online version of the local paper. Since I have a tendency to loss track of time, I have an alarm (still set) on my phone for 7:20 letting me know I have 10 minutes to get my shoes on and get out the door.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

It's supposed to be a beautiful day here, the temperature is forecast to hit 90, a little warm, but still nice. Of all days to decide to cook, Junie and I decided we are going to BBQ today, but we'll make up enough to eat for a few days without having to cook again. Planning on a beef roast, potato salad, pickled beets and baked beans. Already hungry!
