Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thanks to Warm Mouse-Heated Keyboard I had the opportunity to try out ValueRays® Warm Mouse and I must say, I'm looking forward to using it during the cold months. My mouse hand usually stays cold to the point of numbness during the winter months. Although my hand was not cold at the time I was using Warm Mouse, it was a bit achy and I found the heat gave me relief. The infrared heat was delivered to the palm area and quickly warmed up my hand, easing the aching. I didn't need to keep it on very long at any single time. Visiting the Learning Center, I learned a lot of interesting things about infrared heat and how it's used to provide relief for many diseases, such as arthritis. Infrared heat can also be used to help prevent the onset of such things as carpal tunnel. There is also a video overview of the products here.

Eventually, I'll probably end up using what Warm Mouse-Heated Keyboard calls their Designer Computer Mouse House, the trio of products that includes the Warm Mouse, Warm Mouse Pad and the Mouse Hand Warmer®(non USB). I can see where the different applications would be useful.

Junie Had Laser Eye Surgery

Junie's laser surgery yesterday for cataracts on one of her eyes went well. She has another follow up in two weeks, and if it's doing as well as expected, they'll schedule surgery for the other eye, early next month. She can't believe how well she can see already.

She's worn glasses for over 50 years, and since her stroke a few years ago, her eyes have deteriorated pretty fast. She's pretty excited now. When all is said and done, she won't need glasses anymore, except for reading.
