Had a great time last night, Junie and I went to the first of six weekly "Concert in the Park" events. The Concert in the Park features MoBand, a local band with members of all ages, and this year, MoBand is celebrating it's 90th anniversary. The two concerts we're really looking forward to this year are July 2, celebrating the 4th, and July 9th where Carol Channing will make her annual appearance. Carol Channing has been a HUGE advocate of keeping the Arts in California schools.
Last year was the first time we attended the Concert in the Park and we were both very impressed. It's no charge and it's just a great "family" night out. Although there is a seating in the bowl, the park is packed with people bringing picnic dinners and just sitting in the park, enjoying their meal, the company and the music. The atmosphere is terrific!
If you live in or near Modesto and have not attended the Concert in the Park, I would highly recommend it.
